Kenny Roberts

2000, Competition

One of the greatest racers of our time, Kenny Roberts won his first two Grand National Championships in 1973 and 1974 - at a time when racers competed for the title in both road races and dirt track Grand National Championship events. The King, as he is fondly known, then went on to win his three 500cc World Championships in 1978, '79 and '80, prior to being a Grand Prix team owner and now a motorcycle constructor with his Modenas KR3. Kenny Roberts was awarded the first-ever American Motorcycle Association Lifetime Achievement Award.
