If there is such a thing as speed personified, his name is Jim McClure. In almost three decades of Harley Drag Racing, Jim has posted over 200 national speed and ET records. He has also set the standard for national championships with 19 to date.
Jim and Phyllis, and the crew of Jim McClure Racing took the 1989-1990 season by storm, racking up an incredible 21 Harley Drag Racing victories. A career that started on the dirt tracks of central Virginia and Pennsylvania, has also included Jim finding his niche as a global manufacturer and distributor of his Overkill engine designs and numerous parts designs for nitromethane-powered Harley drag bikes.
