Buzz Kanter

2002, Promotion

When a serious accident ended his burgeouning road racing career, Buzz turned his passion to the classic bikes. In 1989, he started "Old Bike Journal" using a spare bedroom as an office because he was frustrated with the lack of available information on the classics. His new career had begun.

Buzz and his wife purchased the floundering "American Iron Magazine" in 1991, moved it from its west coast base to Conneticut, then redesigned and revamped it. Other magazines followed - 'Indian Illustrated', 'Thunder Alley', 'Hot XL', 'Hottest Custom Iron', '90 Years of Harley-Davidson', 'Motorcycle Tour & Cruiser', and others.

Buzz lives his commitment to portraying the sport as a positive and fun activity and in doing so, he uses his talents to promote various events and shows. He created FLASH (Fastest Legal All Street Harleys) Drag Race, the Honor Ride from Conneticut to Milwaukee to celebrate Harley's 90th and 95th anniversaries, Indian and Classic American Iron rallies in Daytona and Sturgis, to name a few.

Always ready to hop on one of his many ready-to-ride classics, you can bet Buzz is already making plans for the 100th Harley Anniversary.
